Andrew Aquilina has been promoted to COO of the Malta Chamber of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).
Mr Aquilina had joined the SME Chamber back in 2017 as EU Affairs and Policy Executive and he was eventually promoted to Head of Policy in 2019.
Prior to that he was also Project Support Officer at University of Malta, Executive – EU Control at Jobsplus.
Graduated in European Studies, Mr Aquilina is skilled in communication, consumer law, enterprise solution design, negotiation, client relations and organisational development, among others. The SME Chamber has over 7,000 members coming from 12,000 different business outlets, representing the largest group of retailers of goods and services, contractors, distributors, wholesalers and independent technical and professional services.
William Spiteri Bailey stressed that Malta’s economy must transition away from a model rooted in labour expansion and over-construction.
The initiative is a €325 million Unsecured Euro Medium Term Bond (EMTN) Programme, officially launched by the bank.
An initial restriction for those under 13 could later be extended to older age groups.
