Local conglomerate AX Group took to social media to celebrate Founder and Chairman Angelo Xuereb’s 70th birthday.

“Thank you for inspiring us all to dream big, to never give up, and to be determined in everything we do. To many, many more, from us all at AX Group, AX Hotels, AX Care, AX Construction, and AX Real Estate,” the group wrote.

Established 44 years ago by Mr Xuereb, AX Group nowadays operates in four key business sectors: contruction, development, healthcare, and hospitality.

For this reason, the AX Group is made up four main divisions: AX Construction, AX Care, AX Hotels, and AX Development.

Through the dozens of companies that it manages, AX Group owns some of Malta’s best-known hotels, restaurants, and developments.

AX Group is also the leading shareholder in the Valletta Cruise Port and the Valletta Waterfront.

Throughout his time at AX Group, Mr Xuereb has also led a very active civic life, having served as Mayor for the Naxxxar Local Council and as the Vice President of several clubs and societies.

Mr Xuereb’s career has seen him win countless prestigious awards, such as Employer of the Year and the EY Entrepreneur of the Year (Malta). He was also nominated at the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year Awards held in Monaco.
