Camilleri Finance, formerly Orion Finance plc, has reinforced its leadership team by appointing Christian Camilleri, Ann Micallef and Alexia Spiteri as Executive Directors.

Camilleri Finance acts as a special purpose vehicle to raise finance for the business of Orion Group.

Christian Camilleri, General Manager of C. Camilleri & Sons Limited, brings over 20 years of experience in the family business. He has held various management roles and played a key part in operations, logistics and customer service.

He oversees the group’s retail and wholesale divisions and has driven the development of IT systems to align technology with business growth.

Holding a Diploma in Business Management from the University of Leicester, Mr Camilleri is recognised for his hands-on leadership style, focus on team development, and commitment to service and operational excellence.

Meanwhile, Ann Micallef, General Manager of Fashion Retail at Camilleri Group, has also been appointed Director.

Ms Micallef began her career with the company in 2003 as a Sales Assistant and later gained experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers before rejoining Camilleri Group in 2010. By 2012, she was managing multiple fashion brands and outlets, and in 2015 she became General Manager responsible for Retail Operations and Marketing.

Following the group’s acquisition of Cyka in 2017, Ms Micallef expanded her portfolio to oversee six fashion retail brands operating across 25 outlets, which now account for around 80 per cent of the Group’s business.

A graduate in Accountancy (Honours) from the University of Malta, Ms Micallef is recognised for her leadership in retail operations, brand development and strategic growth, with a strong focus on innovation, customer experience and sustainability.

Alexia Spiteri, an accomplished professional with over 20 years of experience in catering, marketing and retail, has also been appointed as Executive Director of the Camilleri Group of Companies.

Ms Spiteri began her career with the Group more than two decades ago, spending 14 years as Catering Manager, where she oversaw operations, quality standards, and client satisfaction. She later transitioned into marketing, working as a Marketing Executive for five years and enhancing brand visibility across multiple platforms.

Today, Ms Spiteri serves as Buyer for fashion and home apparel, applying a trend-driven and consumer-focused approach to product sourcing and selection.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Malta and a Master’s degree in Food Management from the University of Surrey. Known for her commitment to quality and strategic vision, Ms Spiteri continues to play a role in driving innovation and growth within the group.

Founded in 1843, Camilleri Group was renowned as one of Malta’s leading confectionaries. Over recent years, the group implemented a diversification strategy that has seen it expand into the retail fashion and FMCG segments.

Among the stores it operates are Promod, Lipsy, Jules, Morgan, Matalan and Mothercare. It is also the local distributor of popular snack brands like Ritter Sport, Haribo, Tilleys, Walkers of London and Lees of Scotland.
