Matthew Caruana

Due to a sharp increase in registrations for the JA Malta Foundation Company Programme 2024/2025, CEO Matthew Caruana has issued an urgent call for mentors.

The programme, initially called ‘Young Enterprise’, has reopened its call for mentors to support the increase in participating teams.

Mentors will have a team assigned to them, together with a link teacher from the students’ school to provide additional support.

Interested mentors will need to dedicate around an hour per week between October and May. Furthermore, they will be in charge of sparking new ideas and asking questions to challenge the team to be better.

Mentors are crucial for supporting the team through decision-making and team work.

Through this initiative, they will have the chance to give back to the community by supporting Malta’s youth.

The programme offers post-secondary students to opportunity take a business idea, formulate it and make it a reality throughout the academic year, connecting young people to a network of organisational and global business professionals.

This programme leads to a national competition to choose the top three teams. Nonetheless, all teams are eligible for signature awards announced during the year that recognise excellence in specific areas.
