HSBC Bank Malta has announced the appointment of Charlotte Cilia as its new Executive Director.
The appointment follows the departure of Michel Cordina.
Ms Cilia brings over 25 years of experience in audit and banking finance. A Certified Public Accountant and Auditor, she has held several key positions in leading financial institutions, including KPMG, MeDirect Group, and HSBC Bank Malta.
Her career at HSBC Bank Malta began in 2010, when she joined the Finance team as a Senior Manager. After four years in this role, she transitioned to MeDirect Group, serving as Deputy Chief Financial Officer.
She later rejoined HSBC in 2018 as Chief Accounting Officer and Deputy CFO, before being appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in December 2020.
Beyond her executive role at HSBC Bank Malta, Ms Cilia is also a Director on the Board of HSBC Life Assurance (Malta) Ltd.
