Claire Zammit Xuereb, long-standing Hospitality Director for AX Group, has been appointed Director of the AX Care business division.

The company noted that Ms Zammit Xuereb brings along a wealth of leadership experience and a passion for positive change to the company’s established and highly successful healthcare brands.

“Our Board of Directors is pleased to introduce a leader of Ms Zammit Xuereb’s calibre to grow our community in Naxxar and to foster collaborations that will broaden our healthcare reach within the local community,” AX Group CEO Michael Warrington said.

“The AX Group is confident that Ms Zammit Xuereb’s professional experience and achievements, particularly within the hospitality sector, will add invaluable new ideas and insight into AX Care’s business model and value proposition,” he continued.

Ms Zammit Xuereb has served as Hospitality Director for AX Group since 2009. She shall continue to hold said position in addition to her new duties with AX Care.

“I am honoured to be joining AX Care and excited to draw from my hospitality experience to create a truly inclusive and fulfilling retirement community for our valued and much respected residents,” the newly appointed Director said.

“I look forward to working closely with the management team to grow the business further, develop new client-focused solutions, and drive AX’s healthcare business forward,” Ms Zammit Xuereb continued.

In addition to her directorship duties at AX Hotels and AX Care, Ms Zammit Xuereb sits on the Executive Board of AX Group and has held various positions within the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association and the ITS Board of Governors.

She is also the Chairperson of AX Foundation, a non-profit organisation that assists persons living with invisible disabilities.

AX Care specialises in independent living and tailor-made care programmes for Malta’s retirement community. Operating from its upscale retirement village concept in Naxxar, AX Care comprises a portfolio of premium healthcare offerings, including Hilltop Gardens, Simblija Care Home, and physio- and hydro-therapy clinic Revive.
