Mr Pisani has had a long and well-established career in the hospitality industry, having propelled Corinthia Group over the past 60 years. As Founder, he has overseen the company’s growth, with roots dating back to 1962 as an elegant dining experience at the Corinthia Palace Restaurant in Malta, followed by the opening of the Corinthia Palace, the company’s first hotel, in 1968. Since then, Corinthia Group has continued to grow under his leadership, opening a number of hotels, including Corinthia London. It has also stretched its reach across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, Russia, and Africa.

Corinthia Group stated that the award acknowledged the “determination, innovative and entrepreneurial spirit” he showcased as he guided the company over the years, “always committed in moving forward and expanding the company as investors, developers, and operators”.

As he was presented with the award, Mr Pisani expressed gratitude for the recognition.

“60 years in the industry is no doubt a long journey,” he said.

“However, that aside, my major satisfaction has not only been the development of high-quality properties offering luxury service under the brand Corinthia, but the fact that in the process of this evolution, as a company we worked to a philosophy of caring for our colleagues and uplifting their lives, which we refer to as the ‘Spirit of Corinthia’,” he added.

Mr Pisani proceeded to thank his wife and family, as well as his colleagues, who have all supported him throughout the journey.
