KDM Group has appointed Edward Chetcuti as Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), placing him at the helm of its diversified portfolio spanning security, aviation and mobility services.

Effective immediately, Ing. Chetcuti will oversee the Group’s three main business pillars: G4S Malta Security Services (private guarding, aviation security, cash management and electronic security systems); Airport Ground Handling Services, including Aviaserve and Aviaworks; and Ct Mobility Services, encompassing Ct Park, Ct Charge EV charging and CtMove (Whizascoot).

Ing. Chetcuti brings extensive leadership experience, including previous roles as CEO of the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, and International Director of Operations at De La Rue plc, overseeing operations across Europe, Africa and Asia.

He also served as CEO at KDM’s own G4S Security Services.

Commenting on his new role, Ing. Chetcuti stated “It is a privilege to take on the role of Group CEO at such a critical juncture in KDM Group’s growth. With over 2,500 dedicated employees across our operations, our strength lies in our people.”

He continued: “I am deeply motivated to work alongside our teams and partners to harness our collective capabilities, drive innovation and operational excellence, and deliver added value to our stakeholders. We will continue to build on the Group’s strong foundations, reinforcing our leadership position within sectors that matter most to Malta’s infrastructure and economy.”

Kenneth De Martino, Chairman of KDM Group, said “Edward’s appointment as Group CEO is a natural progression of his leadership journey within our organisation,” adding that over the years he has demonstrated vision, drive and results.

“I am confident that under his leadership, we will continue to strengthen our position across Malta’s most critical sectors,” he continued.

Steffi De Martino, newly appointed Deputy Chairperson and daughter of the Chairman, concluded: “I have full trust in his vision and I look forward to working closely with him and the executive leadership team as we continue to build a resilient, innovative and people-focused group of companies.”

KDM Group has recently transitioned from an investment holding company to a fully integrated corporate group, delivering essential services across sectors including aviation, banking, healthcare, security, transport, mobility, enforcement, networks and AI-driven digital and cyber security.
