Erich Schumacher has stepped down from his role as Group Chief Operating Officer at FIMBank.
His resignation came into effect on 3rd September 2023 after having occupied the role for four months.
He was appointed to the role in late April 2024, with his position taking effect in May 2024. Prior to that, he served as a Non-Executive Director at the bank for two years.
The bank extended its appreciation and gratitude towards Mr Schumacher for his service to the bank.
FIMBank is a provider of trade finance, factoring and forfaiting solutions with a global presence in different financial and trading centres.
FIMBank Group was established in 1994 with the creation of First International Merchant Bank Ltd, whose operations commenced in 1995.
Later, in 2001, its shares were listed on the Malta Stock Exchange and officially changed its name to FIMBank plc.
Some spoke of concerns they have over prospective employees using AI in their applications.
Nikolaos Fertakis previously served as HSBC Bank Malta’s Chief Operating Officer.
Keeping materials in use for longer is no longer just about waste reduction, he said.
This marks the fourth occasion on which he has been appointed to this role.
