Ann Fenech, Partner and Head of Marine Litigation at Fenech & Fenech Advocates was re-elected as Vice President (VP) of not-for-profit international organisation Comité Maritime International (CMI).
This is Dr Fenech’s second terms as the organisation’s VP.
The Comité Maritime International was established in Antwerp in 1897 with the aim of contributing to the unification of maritime law. In doing so, the organisation promotes the establishment of national associations of maritime law and co-operates with other international organisations.
At the CMI, Dr Fenech co-chairs the International Working Group on Judicial Sales and is the organisation’s co-ordinator for said project at the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).
Fenech & Fenech Advocates was established back in 1891, making it one of Malta’s oldest law firms. The firm is well-versed in multiple disciplines and balances a forward-looking and dynamic task force based on tradition and excellence.
Dr Fenech has been employed with Fenech & Fenech Advocates for the past 29 years. She has also been serving as President of the Malta Maritime Law Association since 2008.
