GamingMalta Foundation has launched an initiative that aims to assist iGaming companies in the process of encouraging their employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Commenting to MaltaCEOs.mt, Ivan Filletti, COO at GamingMalta Foundation, says the initiative – supported by the Malta Gaming Authority – will offer iGaming companies the opportunity to book group vaccinations for their staff and, if a substantial number of employees per company request the service, a vaccination unit could also be set-up at their office.

The initiative is being launched in line with existing initiatives by local health authorities towards reaching herd immunity against the virus.

“This will give companies the chance to extend the vaccine roll-out to all employees who haven’t already been inoculated,” says Mr Filletti. “It is a service which we believe will benefit companies greatly – it will make the process more efficient, and spare employees from booking leave or spending hours away from the office to take the vaccine.”

Gaming Malta is in talks with Malta’s Health Department to get the service up and running. “We are the link between the health authorities and gaming companies,” says the COO. “Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, GamingMalta has acted as a point of reference and assistance for the local gaming industry.”

“This COVID-19 vaccination initiative is another step towards a mutual effort to safeguard the health of the industry’s talent, a task that remains at the forefront of our efforts. Let us get through the final hurdle together, as one.”
