Ganado Advocates has announced the appointment of three new Senior Associates. Beppe Degiorgio, Ria Micallef, and Tara Cann Navarro bring a wealth of experience to the firm, enhancing its capabilities in capital markets, investment services, and corporate law.

Dr Degiorgio is a seasoned legal expert within Ganado Advocates’ capital markets practice. He advises clients on a range of capital market transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), rights issues, bond issues, and public mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Beyond his capital markets expertise, he also provides counsel on financing transactions. He has a strong background in securitisation and structured finance, assisting clients in navigating complex financial structures.

Ria Micallef

Dr Micallef has been appointed as a Senior Associate within Ganado Advocates’ investment services and funds team. She specialises in the structuring, establishment, and licensing of investment funds, asset management firms, and other investment service providers.

Her expertise includes regulatory advice and corporate law guidance. She regularly assists clients in corporate governance, financing, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate and commercial matters.

Prior to joining the investment services and funds team, she was part of Ganado Advocates’ corporate team.

Tara Cann Navarro

Dr Navarro joins the firm’s capital markets practice as a Senior Associate, bringing with her experience in securities regulation and financial services. She advises prospective issuers on private and public offerings of securities, supporting clients in listing on both Maltese and foreign markets. Additionally, she provides ongoing compliance guidance to listed issuers in accordance with Malta’s listing rules and EU securities regulations.

Before joining Ganado Advocates, she spent nearly five years at the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), where she was involved in the review and approval of listing applications and prospectuses.

She also participated in European-level regulatory forums and contributed to policy formulation projects. Prior to her tenure at the MFSA, she spent six years at a top-tier local law firm, assisting clients with debt finance structuring, financial services regulation, M&A transactions, and corporate restructuring.
