Starting a business is not for the faint hearted. There are so many different moving parts and we learn to master them one at a time. As a Solopreneur, you will wear all the hats until you can outsource your work or hire team members. You will bring a lot of your personal and professional experience into the mix, but something will hold you back. You may not even recognise it in the beginning.
For women, many of us were taught to ‘give more than you receive’, ‘dim our lights’ and be ‘quiet and modest’. These words became our thoughts and our beliefs, which then ingrained into our subconscious mind. We don’t even realise how they’ve impacted us on a daily basis.
I’ve experienced and also seen that one of the most common blocks for new and established female entrepreneurs is our money receiving blocks. The most important lesson I’ve learnt so far is that we all have a relationship with money. Imagine that – it shows up in different ways as we are resistant to making money for fear of rejection or judgement.
For example:
We will start off by imagining how our business will take off and grow with ease. The digital nomad life is appealing, as we dream of the day we quit our jobs and travel the world. We dream of creating financial freedom so that we can spend more time with our family. We dream of giving our children a better life so that they don’t have to struggle.
So, how can we turn this around? How can we change our narrative and reframe our beliefs about money? Here are ten tips to help you create a positive relationship with money:
By creating a positive relationship with money, I’ve been able to detach from sales calls and focus on my clients’ needs instead of my own desires.
I’ve coached women who understood that they were investing in my program to help them grow and scale in their business.
I’ve created my own online course – The Ultimate Money Mindset Breakthrough Course to help people understand their relationship with money.
I’ve coached 40 women in the last two years, and helped them start up their own business, create an online course and become more confident within themselves.
I’ve also been a guest expert in several female entrepreneurial groups speaking about our relationship with money.
This is just the beginning as I prepare to reach even more women globally. Now is the time for women to turn their passion into profit and become financially independent. That is what I also plan to do here, in this series of articles on MaltaCEOs.mt. My aim is to help women transform their self-limiting beliefs and money receiving blocks so that they can create financial freedom and build a thriving business.
