HH Finance plc has appointed David Tabone as an independent, non-executive director. Alongside this appointment, Mr Tabone has also assumed the role of Chairman of the company’s Audit Committee.

Incorporated in 2018, HH Finance plc is a Malta‑based finance and property holding company. The company forms part of the broader Hugo’s Group.

Mr Tabone is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a practising certificate in auditing. A graduate of the University of Malta, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in 2000, he is a member of both the Malta Institute of Accountants and the Malta Institute of Taxation.

With over two decades of experience, including time at one of the Big Four accountancy firms, Mr Tabone currently serves as the financial controller of a leading Maltese company specialising in high-end home interiors and turnkey project solutions.

As part of the revised Audit Committee structure, Mr Tabone succeeds Kari Pisani as Chairman.

Mr Pisani will remain a member of the committee, ensuring continuity and oversight.

Meanwhile, Luke Chetcuti has stepped down from his role as a member of the Audit Committee. The new committee composition, which the company believes enhances its corporate governance, now includes Mr Tabone as Chairman and members Mr Pisani and Tonio Depasquale, both of whom are independent, non-executive directors.
