KPMG in Malta has appointed Ruth Bonnici and Louise Grima as Directors.

Ruth Bonnici, a lawyer by profession, holds an Advanced Master’s in International Taxation from the International Tax Centre at the University of Leiden. She joined KPMG Malta’s international tax advisory team in 2015 and has since specialised in supporting foreign clients seeking to establish a presence in Malta or restructure their holdings through the jurisdiction.

Her expertise extends across a number of sectors, with a particular focus on iGaming. Beyond her client work, Ms Bonnici is also active in education, delivering lectures on international and domestic tax topics for ACCA courses and the Advanced Diploma in International Tax.

Louise Grima, who also joined KPMG Malta in 2015, holds a Master in Accountancy from the University of Malta. Over the past decade, she has worked extensively in tax with a primary focus on indirect taxation. Ms Grima has advised clients operating in a range of industries, including financial services and gaming, and regularly delivers seminars related to VAT.

She is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta and participates actively in several Indirect Tax Committees, contributing to ongoing developments within the field.
