Damien Azzopardi, Employer Branding and Communications Manager at Gamesys, announced that he will be parting ways with the company after two years.

“Today is my last day at Gamesys and I wanted to take a moment to thank the entire team who made the past two years such an incredible experience,” Mr Azzopardi wrote on social media.

“It’s been a whirlwind to say the least, we’ve been through so much in such a short time, but I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better environment and awesome colleagues to learn from and grow with,” he continued.

Mr Azzopardi joined the Msida-based iGaming company back in January 2020. Before that, he occupied a variety of roles at Catena Media for just under five years.

“I wish you all the very best, as you continue your journey as Bally’s Interactive. I have no doubt you’ll accomplish incredible things,” Mr Azzopardi added.

Last October, Bally’s completed its merger with Gamesys Group following final court approval. The boards of both businesses agreed terms on the €2.32 billion merger in March 2021, with the deal getting finalised the following April.

Bally’s Interactive is the digital arm of Bally’s Corporation, boasting tens of millions of players across the globe and a vast ecosystem of products spanning across sports betting, iGaming, free-to-play, and daily fantasy spectrum.

The company’s brands include Sportcaller, Monkey Knife Fight, and Virgin Casino.
