Additionally, she shared that she was also appointed Data Protection Officer of the company at the start of 2023. While the firm is headquartered in New York, it has offices spread across the world, including in Birkirkara, Malta, the office that Ms Theuma works at.
Prior to her new role, she served as Legal and Compliance Executive within the same company for three months.
Over the years she has gained various years of experience in a range of roles, including more than two years as Office Manager and Money Laundering Reporting Officer at EtiSicura srl, and over a year as Regulatory Analyst at BOV. Additionally, she was a Legal Compliance Officer during her three years at GlobalCapital plc, now LifeStar.

Ms Theuma describes herself as a “hardworking and self-motivated person”, who is able to “adapt well” to new environments.
TD Cowen, which was formerly Cowen Inc, is a diversified financial services firm that provides investment banking, research, sales and trading, prime brokerage, outsourced trading, global clearing, and commission management services. Cowen Inc was founded in 1918, and it was fully acquired by Canadian investment bank TD Securities last March as part of its long-term strategy in the United States, prompting the rebrand to TD Cowen. Its Malta office is primarily concerned with providing insurance services.
