Mediterranean College of Sport CEO Charlo Bonnici on Monday shared that he completed the 2023 MC Adventure Malta Half Marathon, held last Sunday.

Mr Bonnici has served as the sports-oriented school’s CEO for a year, with it set to open its doors in September 2024. It aims to be the school where “student-athletes will find their place to develop their sports potential while nurturing their educational pathway”. It combines sports development, sports science, technology, and educational excellence, preparing students to achieve “international prowess” in their prospective dual careers.

“Our Mediterranean College of Sport project continues to inspire me to keep going whatever the challenges,” he said.

This year’s edition of the half marathon saw participants start from Mdina and finish at Sliema, passing through Attard, Birkirkara, Qormi, and Msida, among other localities. It was held in tandem with the 2023 MC Adventure Malta Marathon, which led participants to the same destination, yet over a longer route.

Mr Bonnici went over the finish line after two hours, five minutes and 11 seconds.

He added that the completion of this half marathon comes just three weeks after he ran his second La Valette Half Marathon. “Looking forward to challenge number three in eight weeks’ time,” he concluded.

Aside from his role at Mediterranean College of Sport, Mr Bonnici is also CEO at Learning Works Malta and Director of Communications at Vassallo Group.
