During the festive period many take the opportunity to rest, unwind to prepare for the year ahead and BRND WGN’s Peter Grech did just that.

Citing Martin Dimbleby, Mr Grech shared that if one is to switch on, they must switch off first. Over the past two weeks, he turned his professional switch ‘off’. This meant saying no to meetings, emails, LinkedIn, and work calls.

In contrast, he spent the weeks surrounded by family and friends doing activities that cleared his mind. “I rode my bikes, went for some great trail runs, took some long walks, had a few sea swims (no wetsuit), and even managed to replace social media scrolling with three great books.”

Despite finding it difficult to resist temptation at the start, Mr Grech said that it eventually became natural.

“As I walked back into the office today, I felt ready and excited to take on 2025. My mental battery is completely recharged, I am bursting with new ideas for BRND WGN, for Season 2 of The Ubrandme Podcast, but most of all our clients,” he added.

As he steps into the new year, Mr Grech remarked that he does not need any resolutions but has total clarity on his priorities and how to achieve them.

“Here’s to resets and the power of doing nothing,” he concluded.
