Following a number of teasers shared on social media over the last week, yesterday saw the launch of Bulletproof, a fitness community platform based in Malta.

Founded by local fitness enthusiasts Scott Schembri, Adam Sullivan and Andrew Mercieca, the aim of the new portal is “to motivate, educate and inspire individuals towards a healthier, fitter and more sustainable lifestyle.”

To achieve this mission, the young co-founders have teamed up with a selection of Malta’s best athletes, trainers and fitness enthusiasts to form the Bulletproof Community, through which they will “strive to create original concepts” to help deliver their message.

Commenting on the launch on social media, Bulletproof Culture Co-Founder Adam Sullivan says, “our core goal is to raise the bar of the local fitness industry from all aspects. Part of our mission is to include everyone in our ever-growing fitness community and to ingrain fitness as part of our overall lifestyle.”

The new platform allows users to explore and purchase a gym membership from any of Malta’s fitness facilities, make use of effective training programs and form part of the community by engaging with a sizeable fitness content library. Moving forward, it will also feature a facility for booking fitness events.

“We believe in convenience – which is what brought us to link all gyms, studios and boxes in Malta onto one platform,” the founders write on the site. “The goal is to be as convenient and transparent as possible which gives users the ability to find their potential second home.”

The launch of the platform coincides with the re-opening of gyms on the island, scheduled for 24th May, following a period of closure due to COVID-19 mitigation measures.
