Mariner Shipping, a specialist operator of seaport container terminals which falls under the shipping and logistics arm of Hili Company, has acquired Tubeline Ltd, a freight forwarding company specialised in air freight, international and domestic express courier services, customs brokerage and project cargo.

Karl Naudi, Managing Director at Mariner Shipping, commented on the acquisition, saying “We are very excited to welcome Tubeline’s customers, employees and partners to our company and brand.”

“Our two companies will certainly achieve more together, enhancing the value for our clients. This deal is a new milestone for Mariner and through it we shall deliver an even wider range of services that our customers deserve and rely on.”

On behalf of Hili Company, CEO Edward Hili said the team at Mariner Shipping has done an excellent job of bringing value to its clients.

“It has been a key driver of the growth of our business over the last couple of years. The acquisition of Tubeline is yet another string in our bow, strengthening our service offering and widening our market reach. We are very proud to have been given the opportunity to integrate such a reputable brand into our portfolio.”

Tubeline was founded by Michel Licari, who has run the company for over four decades, and who had also originally established DHL in Malta.
