Renowed psychiatrist Professor Anton Grech has been promoted to Associate Professor at the University of Malta.

Prof. Grech is a member of the Psychiatry Department within the Faculty of Medicine & Surgery. He graduated as Doctor of Medicine from the University of Malta in 1992.

The professor is a familiar face to Maltese TV viewers and radio listeners, having been an expert guest on several shows when the subject touches on mental health.

Prof. Grech thanked his family, who he said have always supported him in his “adventures”, as well as his academic mentors, patients and research participants.

Prof. Grech is also Chairman of Mental Health Services, Dar Kenn Għal Saħħtek – a treatment centre for eating disorders, as well as various other boards and commissions.
