The second edition of the Women in Aviation Awards took place on 3rd October at the Malta Aviation Museum, recognising individuals and organisations making a contribution to the country’s growing aviation industry.

This year’s Company of the Year, as voted by members, was easyJet Engineering.

The judges named Iona Muscat as Leader of the Year, while the Inclusion Team of the Year award went to the easyJet Engineering Planning Team.

Katie Pirotta received the Inspirational High Flyer award, and Rodianne Sciberras was recognised as Rising Star.

The Member of the Year award, voted for by the organisation’s Ambassadors, went to Lesley Harding.

The awards form part of an ongoing initiative to highlight women’s achievements in Malta’s aviation sector and to encourage more diversity and inclusion within the field.

The event, organised by Women in Aviation Malta, followed opening remarks by Transport Malta COO Karen Zerafa.

The main partner, Transport Malta, alongside sponsors including EasyJet Engineering Malta, Emirates, Exante, Titan Airways Malta, Malta Air Traffic Control, EG Aviation, and Opes Jet, recognised and presented the awards for outstanding contributions across various categories.

Additional supporters such as Hyperion Aviation, Aeroates, Airhub Airlines, Lufthansa Technik Malta, Acumum, and Staff Now also came on board to support this empowering event.
