Sarah Cardona has been appointed Acting Chief Control Officer at HSBC Malta, taking on the role during a period of transition for the bank.
Announcing the move, Ms Cardona said she was grateful for the trust placed in her and emphasised her focus on continuity and stability.
“I’m pleased to share that I’ve stepped into the role of Acting Chief Control Officer during a period of transition for our company,” she said. “I’m grateful for the trust placed in me and will focus on ensuring continuity, strong governance, and stability as we move through this next phase.”
She added that collaboration across the organisation will be key in the months ahead. “I look forward to working closely with colleagues across the business to support the organisation’s priorities and ongoing success.”
The appointment comes as HSBC Malta continues to navigate organisational change, with Ms Cardona’s role expected to play a central part in maintaining robust governance and control frameworks during the transition.
