Sven de Waard on Monday announced that he has been named Head of Games at Malta-based iGaming operator and games provider Glitnor Group.

He joins following six years at iGaming firm Hero Gaming, where he first served as Casino Product Coordinator, before he was promoted to Casino Product Manager. While working at the latter, he was given a number of responsibilities within the firm’s operations, marketing and product sectors, including employing strategies to cross-sell efficiently between other verticals to “maximise player lifetime value”.

Mr De Waard’s experience within the local iGaming sector also includes almost four years at Betsson Group, initially as Dutch Customer Support Agent and then as VIP Coordinator – CasinoEuro. He was also Customer Service Agent at BetClic Everest Group for over a year, where he served customers by providing product and service information and also resolved related issues.

Away from Malta, Mr De Waard worked as BlackBerry Support Specialist Bilingual (Dutch and English) at Teleperformance Portugal and Customer Relations Consultant at Sitel in London, among other roles.

Mr De Waard describes himself as an “exciting, enthusiastic, and persuasive person”, who is able to influence others and accomplish goals through his “strong social skills”. He is particularly skilled in customer service, online marketing, and technical support.

Glitnor Group was founded by iGaming veterans Dan Andersson and Jorgen Nordlund in 2018, with a focus on player acquisition through its specialist team which ensures it “attracts and retains the right value of player at the right cost”. While the iGaming company is headquartered in Sliema, Malta, it also has offices in Sofia, Bulgaria.
