Malta-based gaming operator Betpoint Group has appointed former ComeOn Group chief executive Lahcene Merzoug as its new CEO.
“Bringing a wealth of industry experience, Lahcene will be responsible for overseeing our ambitious expansion plans into new markets,” the company said its new CEO, in a post announcing the news.
Mr Merzoug, who served as CEO of ComeOn for two years after a six-month stint as CMO of Green Media, also shared the news on a social media post, writing, “time for a new adventure.”
The industry veteran boasts over 20 years’ experience within the igaming industry, holding senior roles in marketing and business development at Evoke Gaming Ltd among others.
He previously served as Non-Executive Director of the bank for over three years.
Jo Caruana is the only one in Malta and among a small cohort across Europe and UK with the certification.
Alexia Farrugia had served in the role since the company was incorporated in 2021.
