eCabs Technologies, a leading ride-hailing SaaS (software as a service) provider, has expanded into its sixth city with the launch of operations in the UK, marking its first strategic partnership in the region.

Matthew Bezzina, CEO of eCabs Technologies, said that this move into the British market is a defining step for the company.

“To see our platform enable an operator like Like a Ride, one that truly reflects the values of fairness, inclusion and innovation, is exactly what we set out to do when we began this journey,” he expressed.

Like a Ride, a Bristol-based transportation and logistics company, has selected the St Julian’s tech company to power its operations.

eCabs Technologies also operates in another five EU markets; Malta, Athens (Greece), Bucharest and Brașov (Romania) and Berlin (Germany).

eCabs Technologies reports that its development programme has delivered a market-ready ride-hailing platform, attracting interest from worldwide operators seeking to modernise amid ongoing digital transformation.

The announcement in Bristol follows the conclusion of an €18 million technology development initiative, reportedly among the most significant ever undertaken by a Maltese technology firm.

Mircea Aron, Founder of Like a Ride, said that the collaboration “offers a technological foundation to scale the platform.”

“We partnered with eCabs Technologies for three foundational reasons: their cutting-edge platform, operational excellence, and end-to-end support. Together, we’re equipping our local drivers with seamless routing, secure payments, and real-time insights – raising the bar for community-driven travel,” he commented.
