Infinitely Xara, one of Malta’s best-known hospitality and catering groups, has just rebranded to become Xara Collection.

Said group encompasses a plethora of outlets, including The Xara Palace Hotel Relais & Châteaux, The de Mondion, Trattoria AD 1530, The Xara Lodge and Xara Catering, and Medina Restaurant.

“We are changing our branding, but not our values. Xara Collection is all about memorable moments, bringing sustainability and quality to the forefront of the hospitality industry and into every detail of the brand,” CEO Neal Debono said.

The new mother brand also comprises a host of other soon-to-open culinary offerings: The Villa, which holds two versatile dining and occasion spaces in its iconic building in the heart of St Julian’s, and Barumbara Tal-Laring, in Rabat.

Xara Collection is also pioneering a new, holistic approach towards sustainability in the world of hospitality. The group noted that each of its subsidiaries ‘uses the most sustainable methods of operation in every aspect.’

These include recycling a high percentage of all food and plate waste, hosting an innovative hydroponics microfarm, and investing in a new farming concept – Xara Gardens in Limits of Rabat.

“Through the immici Microfarms at The Xara Lodge and the new Xara Gardens, Xara will locally produce fresh, delicious produce that will feed our outlets, creating a truly ‘farm-to-fork’ experience for our guests, as well as building a sustainable future for the industry through sharing best practices,” the CEO concluded.

Mr Debono, a seasoned professional in the local hospitality industry, was appointed to his role as CEO last September following a tenure as Acting Cluster General Manager at IHG Hotels & Resorts.
