Chief Operating Officer at Ving Insurance, Elton Debattista, this week remarked that the company looks forward to working with The Malta Chamber to promote diving and other sports activities as industries in their own right.
“We are looking forward to work hand-in-hand with The Malta Chamber to develop key areas and core principles on the promotion of diving and other sports as industries in their own right and as business activities that also contribute to the well-being of society.”
Mr Debattista was commenting after this week, The Malta Chamber signed a Bronze Partnership agreement with Ving Insurance Brokers, aimed at enhancing specific sports industries.
To this end, Ving Insurance Brokers is to be the leading partner with The Malta Chamber in promoting diving and other sports as industries that can improve competitiveness, add value to society and act as a catalyst for other innovations. Both parties will also work together to raise awareness on the vital importance of tele medicine.
Ahead of the signing, President of The Malta Chamber, Marisa Xuereb, said “Malta is developing several niches in various sectors including insurance. Ving are specialists in recreational insurance, including insurance for diving, which is an important niche in local tourism. Developing an ecosystem that services niche industries is important for growth and long-term sustainability.”
The agreement was signed by President Ms Marisa Xuereb and Deputy President, Mr Chris Vassallo Cesareo on behalf of The Malta Chamber and COO Elton Debattista and CFO Julia Caruana for Ving Insurance Brokers.
The tech entrepreneur gave the comments as a member of the Forbes Technology Council.
