Sliema-based affiliate marketing company Web International Services Ltd (WIS) bid farewell to Head of Development Thies Petersen after five years of employment.

Founded in 2012, WIS is mainly focused on acquiring new clients for iGaming companies and financial services. It develops bespoke content and comparison websites with the objective of sourcing new clients within its clients’ target market.

“Goodbyes are always hard, especially today when we bid farewell to Thies Petersen who has been a part of WIS for the past five years,” the company wrote.

“Thank you for your incredible work at WIS for all these years. You will definitely be missed by everyone here. We wish you all the best and good luck with your new adventure,” it continued.

Mr Petersen joined WIS as a Senior Frontend Developer back in July 2017 and was promoted to Team Lead Development and Design eight months after that. Over the following four years, Mr Petersen enjoyed another two promotions: first to Software Development Manager and then to Head of Development.

Before joining WIS, Mr Petersen built up a wealth of experience in the software industry, having served as a Frontend Developer at Apliki and User Prompt and as a Developer at Raytheon Anschütz.
