When starting a business, the first year can be the most challenging, but when you do reach that milestone, it is extremely rewarding. Karl Schembri takes to social media to celebrate BRUVV’s first anniversary – his and his brother’s hip eatery in Balzan.

“We are still processing the fact that this has actually happened. What was once a dream, is now a reality,” Mr Schembri says whilst delving into the fact that it hasn’t always been easy having been “faced with lots of ups, downs and mixed emotions.”

If nothing else, starting business is a life lesson. “If I haven’t learned anything so far, I did learn to never give up,” Mr Schembri admits.

Sharing such an experience with someone else is a bonus, and when that someone else is a close relative, it makes things even more rewarding. “Luckily enough, I am sharing this wonderful journey with my hard-working, dedicated and the most amazing brother in the world,” he says. “His passion, commitment and perseverance are some of the reasons which get me through my tough days. I am extremely proud of what we have achieved together so far,” he adds.

BRUVV is a full-on family venture and in his post, Mr Schembri goes on to thank the pair’s younger brother who is “always just a phone call away whenever we need anything, and solves any issue within a matter of minutes, just like that.”

Clearly thankful for being able to share this experience with his nearest and dearest, Mr Schembri adds, “the fact that us, three brothers, are all in this together, in one way or another, is beyond the most amazing feeling in the world.”

He goes on to say that “there are no words to describe such a bond and feeling. But we only owe this to our parents, for always teaching us the best possible values, without any conditions and judgment.”

“Their constant support and encouragement is what keeps us moving forward and working harder to make this venture an even more successful one,” the co-founder adds.

“We look forward to whatever the future holds for us in this journey, and whatever it will be, I am pretty sure that we will be face it with great responsibility, dedication and humility,” he concluded.
