Albert Cilia has taken over as Company Secretary of Malita Investments plc after Donald Vella stepped down from the role on 10th December.

In an announcement on the Malta Stock Exchange, the Board of Directors thanked Dr Vella for his service at the company. He has held the role since 2017.

Mr Cilia is the European Regional Director – Funds and Managing Director at trust and fund administration firm Trident Trust.

Mr Cilia brings extensive experience in the fund and trust sectors, having previously held the position of Head of Corporate Services at Alter Domus Malta for two and a half years and Manager at Ganado Trustees & Fiduciaries Ltd for more than two years. Additionally, he served as Managing Director at Custom House Global Fund Services Ltd and Equity Trust Malta Ltd, each for a period of two years.

His professional background also includes over a year as Senior Executive Manager at International Insurance Management Services Ltd and a 12-year tenure as Assistant to the Audit Manager at PwC Malta.

A specialist in hedge funds and due diligence, Mr Cilia is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
