Christian Debono has joined the Valletta Credit Finance Corporation as Chief Commercial Officer.
The Valletta Credit Finance Corporation, known as VCFC, is a new digital finance institution that was launched earlier in 2026. It falls under the Insignia Group of Companies.
“After 27 incredible years with HSBC, it’s time for a new chapter,” Mr Debono said.
Throughout his time at HSBC, Mr Debono held a number of positions including Head of Premier and Wealth Management, Area Branch Manager, and ended his time there as Head of Business Development.
“My time at HSBC has been an extraordinary journey, giving me the opportunity to work with some exceptional colleagues, clients and partners, while gaining invaluable experience across different areas of banking and financial services.”
“I now look forward to bringing that experience into the fast-evolving world of payments and financial services at VCFC, helping to drive commercial growth, build strong client and partner relationships, and support the company’s continued development and international ambitions,” he said.
