Muriel Rutland, CEO at HSBC Life Assurance Malta, took to social media to celebrate her 20th anniversary working at the bank.

“Feeling thankful for my incredible career development within this organisation and grateful to all colleagues and ex-colleagues that supported me through this journey,” Ms Rutland wrote.

Ms Rutland joined the bank’s Life Assurance division as CEO back in April 2020. Before that, she served as COO for its Retail Banking & Wealth Management sector for upwards of three years.

From 2013 to 2020, Ms Rutland worked in HSBC Malta’s Global Asset Management division. For the first four years she served as Managing Director, being appointed Director in 2017.

The CEO also spent just under four years, from June 2016 to April 2020, serving as Director at Tigné Mall plc.
