Hector Spiteri has been appointed new President of the Malta Institute of Management, following its 57th Annual General Meeting on 31st May 2021. He will replace outgoing President Reuben Buttigieg, who announced his intention not to seek re-election.
Mr Spiteri is a Certified Public Accountant with a Practicing Certificate in Auditing. He has been in various Directorship roles and held managerial positions within various companies and groups, both locally and internationally.
During the same meeting, the Council highlighted the challenges faced by the Institute, mainly related to the COVID-19 pandemic. During the reported period, the MIM engaged in new activities and collaborated with various entities.
The other Council Members of the institute are Reuben Buttigieg – Vice-President, Omar Vella – Hon Secretary, Lorna Smith – Hon Treasurer, Lara Boffa, Johann Baldacchino Romano, Joseph Ludwig Cassar, Stephanie Fabri, Rebecca Gatt and Jesmond Saliba as Council Members.
