KPMG in Malta has announced the appointment of Jonathan Dingli as its new Head of Advisory, effective 1st April 2026, succeeding David Pace, who assumed the role of Senior Partner in October 2025.

“I look forward to building on the strong foundations of the Advisory practice and continuing to support our clients in navigating increasingly complex regulatory and reporting landscapes,” Jonathan Dingli said.

Mr Dingli is a Partner within KPMG Malta’s Advisory function and currently co-leads the Corporate Accounting Advisory Services (CAAS) team, the firm’s largest advisory unit. He brings over 20 years of experience in the accountancy profession, advising a wide portfolio of local and international clients.

In his current role as an IFRS specialist, he supports organisations on financial reporting matters, ensuring compliance with international standards. He also leads ESG reporting within the firm, assisting clients in aligning with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRSs), areas that are becoming increasingly central to business strategy and governance.

Beyond client work, Mr Dingli plays a key role in professional development. He leads the KPMG Learning Academy and is responsible for its strategic direction, while also contributing to the delivery of financial reporting courses under the IFRS learning suites umbrella.

He also brings extensive academic experience, having lectured for over 15 years on advanced financial reporting to Master in Accountancy students at the University of Malta.

In September 2025, Mr Dingli was elected President of the Malta Institute of Accountants, the country’s only recognised professional accountancy body, further underlining his standing within the profession.
