‘Malta’s location pivotal to future growth’ – Flexjet European Managing Director

On Wednesday, Flexjet announced it has chosen Malta to register its first Gulfstream G650 in Europe.

Founded in the US in 1995, the premium private jet operator obtained its Maltese Air Operator Certificate in July 2021. Since then, the company has expanded its team and infrastructure in Malta, including moving its operational centre to new, larger offices in Ta’ Xbiex. This adds to its European sales office in London’s Mayfair; Tactical Control Centre at Farnborough Airport; and aircraft maintenance facility based in Milan, Italy.

"Registering our first European Gulfstream G650 in Malta demonstrates how pivotal this location is to our future growth," said Marine Eugène, Flexjet European Managing Director.

Speaking of this announcement, Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Aaron Farrugia stated that, "this important sector is strengthening our economy, creating new initiatives and generating opportunities."
