Marika Caruana Smith, Cluster Director of Sales for the Luxury and Entertainment segment at InterContinental Malta, is celebrating six years at the hotel.

“I couldn’t be more grateful for this journey,” she shared on LinkedIn.

From memories of growth to the team and guests she worked with, she described this experience as “nothing short of remarkable.”

Looking back, Ms Caruana Smith recognised her growth and how much she has learned and evolved.

“Thank you to everyone – colleagues, partners, and clients – who have made these years memorable and rewarding,” she commented.

Ms Caruana Smith is a luxury sales expert with more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. In fact, she was initially hired as the Director of Luxury Sales at InterContinental Malta.

Eventually, she was promoted to Cluster Director of Corporate and Luxury Sales and is now the Cluster Director of Sales – Luxury and Entertainment.

InterContinental Hotel Malta, located in the area of St George’s Bay, opened its doors on 18th January 2003 and has since welcomed a number of personalities and thousands of guests.
