“Opening our 10th McDonald’s in Malta and marking our 200th restaurant is a special moment for us,” says Peter Hili, Managing Director at Premier Restaurants Malta.

His comments were made as Premier Capital has opened its 10th McDonald’s restaurant in Malta on Wednesday (yesterday).

The new restaurant, located in Mrieħel, expands the brand’s footprint across Central, Southern, and North-Western Malta, offering 24/7 access through McDrive and McDelivery services.

Premier Capital’s three-decade journey with McDonald’s began with its first Valletta outlet and has since grown through new concepts, upgrades, and expanded services. Today, the company employs nearly 700 people in Malta.

Mr Hili described the occasion as deeply meaningful for the organisation. “This is where our story began 30 years ago, and every new opening reflects the passion and dedication of our team to offer our customers feel-good moments and a consistently great experience.”

Across its six markets – Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Greece and Romania – Premier Capital now operates 200 restaurants and is projecting revenues exceeding €775 million in 2025. Its team stands at around 12,000 employees, with the group planning 15 additional restaurant openings in 2026 as part of its ongoing expansion strategy.

The company said it will continue investing in its people, infrastructure, and operations to support sustained growth across Europe, building on the momentum created by this dual milestone in Malta.
