APS Bank’s Chief People Officer Ray Bonnici has stressed the importance of investing in employees health, as the bank opened a gym exclusively for its staff at its head office in Swatar.

Aside from a fully equipped gym, showers and a chill-out area have also been made available. The bank said its decision to create the gym was motivated by feedback coming from employee surveys and management’s interest in the health and wellbeing of staff.

“Investing in our people’s health and wellbeing is important to us. The opening of our gym is yet another wellbeing related benefit the Bank offers, including a Sports and Fitness Activities subsidy, which complements the Bank’s support on mental and social wellbeing,” Mr Bonnici said.

Mr Bonnici joined APS Bank in 2016 as Head of Human Capital, before becoming Chief People Officer in 2020.

He had previously held HR leadership roles in various companies, including Premier Capital, Hili Ventures and PTL Ltd.
