On Friday, Samantha Agius was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Juel Group.

Making the announcement through the Malta Stock Exchange, her appointment with the company came into effect from 28th June (Friday).

Ms Agius is a certified public accountant having obtained a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from University of Malta.

Furthermore, she also has a Diploma in VAT compliance and indirect taxation from the Malta Institute of Taxation, among other qualifications.

She started her career as an Administrative Assistant at the Parents Foundation for Education.

Following that, Ms Agius served as a Senior Accountant and Head of the Accounts Department within the Credence Corporate and Advisory Services Ltd.

In 2016 she joined Deloitte as a Tax Manager and was later promoted to Senior Tax Manager.

On LinkedIn, she describes herself as an experienced Tax Manager with a history of working in the management consulting industry.

Established in 2016, Juel Group is involved in the development of real estate and is also set to expand into the hospitality sector through the development of a new Hyatt Centric Malta hotel in Swieqi.
