Sandro Psaila, Senior Manager at Deloitte Malta’s Technology Audit and Assurance department, has been awarded the prestigious Mark de Giorgio Award in recognition of his contribution to the company.
Mr Psaila joined Deloitte Malta in September 2016 as IT Audit and Assurance Manager. He held said role for two years before being promoted to his current position.
“Immensely proud and rewarding moment in my career… receiving the Deloitte Malta Mark de Giorgio award,” Mr Psaila wrote on social media.
“This recognition is also attributed to the sterling work performed by my team and all the other colleagues within audit and assurance – you all rock,” he continued.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Mr Psaila served a lengthy tenure at local telecommunications company GO plc, where he occupied the roles of Senior IT Auditor, Lead IT Auditor, and IT Audit Manager over almost 12 years.
The Mark de Giorgio Award was founded back in 2002 in remembrance of former Deloitte and Touche Partner Mark de Giorgio, who passed away aged 47 the year prior.
Mr de Giorgio had joined Deloitte and Touche in 1985 and was one of the key Partners who steered the firm from a mid-sized practice to one of the most predominant accounting firms in Malta.
