Peter Galea

Peter Galea has announced he will be leaving the UK to return home to Malta, where he will take on the role of Head of Risk (EU) at crypto asset brokerage firm FalconX.

“After seven incredible years in the UK, it’s time for a new chapter,” Mr Galea wrote.

“Looking back, London gave me everything I hoped for when I first moved there. From the intensity of working on major projects in the City to the experience of the London startup ecosystem as both an early hire and a VC-backed founder, it was an ‘all-in’ journey that I’ll always value.”

Mr Galea had worked for a number of companies in London, including Deloitte, Valencia Partners and Falco.

He will now take on the role of Head of Risk (EU) at FalconX, which is registered with the MFSA.

“I’m very happy to be back home in Malta and starting a new role as Head of Risk (EU) for FalconX,” he said.

“Joining the leading digital assets prime broker at this stage of the market is a unique opportunity. With the current momentum in institutional adoption and the shift toward regulatory clarity, it’s a pivotal time to be building in this space.”

“I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to such a high-calibre team and reconnecting with the local market here.”
