Marking DMSC Business Advisory’s second year in business, Founding Partners Steve Cortis and Daniel Mifsud Walstow spoke to MaltaCEOs.mt about their experience at the forefront of this up-and-coming enterprise.

This Paola-based firm is made up of a team of six people, three of who are certified public accountants offering a broad range of business-related support services. DMSC’s services are particularly suited towards small and medium enterprises.

“We always focus on exploiting the opportunities that we’re presented and turning challenges into new opportunities”, Mr Cortis says.

“From experience, the number of opportunities out there by far surpass the number of challenges faced, however, one of the constant challenges that we’re facing is the lack of human resources in the industry,” Mr Mifsud Walstow adds.

Mr Cortis revealed how, as a company, DMSC chose to base its business on one important pillar – people.

“We believe that in our industry, we can only be successful if our clients are satisfied,” the Founding Partner notes, before highlighting that the firm’s staff is its “most important asset”.

Looking to the future, Mr Mifsud Walstow explained that, as a team, they are now set to “continue focusing on the quality and personal touch” that they offer their clientele, without looking too far into the future.

After all, “a five-year plan can change within a matter of months,” he concludes.
